Paul Reed Smith Limited Edition Bodega Bay Custom 24 LTD
The Paul Reed Smith Limited Edition Bodega Bay Custom 24 solidbody electric guitar combines astounding tone with the kind of appointments that befit a very limited model. The Limited Edition Bodega Bay Custom 24 is named after a certain Pacific inlet on the shores of Northern California; Bodega Bay was the setting for a classic Hitchcock film (maybe the birdseye maple top and exquisite bird inlays on this guitar's rosewood fingerboard will clue you in on which one). A Peruvian mahogany neck, a mahogany back, and great-sounding 1957/2008 pickups let the Limited Edition Bodega Bay Custom 24 take flight. The story behind Bodega Bay Bodega Bay is a shallow, rocky inlet of the Pacific Ocean on the coast of northern California in the United States, and was the setting of 1963 Alfred Hitchcock film, The Birds. Given that this guitar has a birdseye maple top and bird inlays on the fingerboard, the connection is obvious. And you'll certainly be able to unleash your own sort of (tonal) fury from the Limited Edition Bodega Bay Custom 24 if you so choose, but this guitar's just as capable of producing graceful gossamer tones. Premium design and choice tonewoods, including a figured birdseye top The Limited Edition Bodega Bay Custom 24 features nothing but the best in PRS design elements.
This PRS features a stunning, extremely figured birdseye maple top. For smooth-playing, a 24-fret Peruvian mahogany neck features a standard carve, and a rosewood fingerboard and beautiful mammoth ivory bird inlays add to this instruments gorgeous appearance. It also includes McCarty electronics (a 3-way toggle and push-pull tone coil-tap) for an array of great tones. Special 1957/2008 humbuckers The 1957/2008 pickups offered standard on the Limited Edition Bodega Bay Custom 24 allow players to achieve both vintage and modern sounds. PRS obtained exclusive rights to the original pickup wire used in the most revered pickups in the '50s. PRS obtained the rights to the wire in 2008, and 1957 was the year the humbucker was first commercially available, giving rise to the 1957/2008 name. Stunning finish Featuring the most advanced finishing technology, PRS has developed fat, ultra-high gloss finishes and rich stains that exquisitely highlight the color and grain of the woods while retaining the fast, smooth feel of vintage lacquer. Because color is an important component in any guitar's appearance, PRS dyes are specially blended to look their very best under stage lights, shining with such luster and brilliance that the guitar truly looks every bit as good as it sounds.
