Derringers Music ship Australia-wide, and our primary freight carriers are Australia Post and TNT/Fedex Australia. If FREE SHIPPING is selected, the Derringers Team will determine the most appropriate method of shipping unless otherwise requested.
Australia Post: Smaller, lighter items are typically best sent via Australia Post, with some larger items also eligible as weight/dimension limits allow. Australia Post parcels can be delivered to PO Boxes as well as Residential or Commercial addresses, and a variety of delivery options are available through Australia Post's online MyPost tracking system. Missed deliveries can typically collected from a post office, and authority to leave (ATL) can be granted on certain parcels via their tracking links.
TNT/Fedex Australia: Larger items, and those weighing more than 1kg, are best sent via TNT/Fedex Australia. Derringers Music despatches freight daily, Monday to Friday, via this service. TNT/Fedex items cannot be delivered to PO boxes, and must be signed for on delivery. Please ensure any delivery can be attended; parcels cannot be left unattended. You can check the estimated delivery time via the tracking information provided to you once your order has been despatched to assist this process. If you are unable to attend, a Sorry We Missed You (SWMY) card will be left detailing alternative arrangements for collection or re-delivery.
If our regular freight providers are unable to service your location, our team will contact you to discuss any potential alternative arrangements.
Derringers Music does not take responsibility for freight left unattended on your premises at your request. It is our policy that all deliveries be attended and signed for by their intended recipient to ensure no items are lost or stolen. We will generally refuse any request to authorise parcels to be left unattended on your property. In the event authority is granted, any loss or theft is the responsibility of the receiver.
Your Responsibility when Receiving Goods
Please do not accept damaged goods. As the recipient, on receiving the freight, please thoroughly inspect all sides of the freight for damage or any signs that the carrier repacked the freight before signing for it. Carefully count the number of boxes or pieces before signing off and taking delivery. Take photos of any discrepancy along with the driver next to the damage and pointing to it if possible. Evidence of damage on arrival will be critical proof of your claim.
All damage or missing packages must be recorded at the time of delivery by noting them on the delivery receipt, to provide the basis for an insurance claim. As a receiver, you have the responsibility to certify that the goods are received in perfect order, or record any damage or missing items, on the delivery receipt. Couriers mostly will not allow you to open a carton and inspect the goods before signing for them. Please protect your purchase and the seller by carefully following these procedures. Adhering to these steps ensures that the courier takes responsibility for any damaged or missing goods.
Delivery Time Frame
If you need equipment by a specific date, please give us a call on (08) 8371-1884. Our despatch team will do their best to meet reasonable requests and delivery time-frames. Orders are typically dispatched within 3 full business days of cleared payment. Orders placed outside of regular business hours (i.e. after store closure) begin this timeline from the following business day. Orders which complete processing on weekends can only be despatched on a weekday. With regular shipping times estimated at between 3-7 business days depending on your location within Australia. Please note times of high consumer demand/peak consumer periods may impact on dispatch times. If for any reason we are unable to dispatch your order with these time frames, we will notify you as soon as possible.
All deliveries from Derringers Music are made via Australia Post or TNT Australia, both of which are 3rd party businesses and therefore Derringers Music cannot be held responsible for delivery times during their peak times. TNT Express does not mean overnight. The actual delivery time for TNT Express deliveries depends on your delivery address. That said, Derringers Music maintains a good working relationship with both Australia Post and TNT Australia and have found them to be very reliable couriers.
Derringers Music DOES NOT currently accept international orders through our webstore or brick-and-mortar storefronts under any circumstances. Purchases can only be made in Australian Dollars (AUD) and ship to Australian addresses at this time.
