Fender American Professional Jazz Bass Maple Fingerboard (Aged Cherry Burst)

The American Professional Jazz Bass represents Fender's sixth decade of refinement on the J–Bass platform, purpose–built to answer the requirements of working bassists who demand reliability and tonal clarity across extended sessions. At its core sit new V–Mod III single–coil pickups, redesigned for greater articulation and frequency response than previous American Professional generations while retaining the punch and piano–like midrange definition the model established in 1960. The Slim "C" neck profile features rolled fingerboard edges and a Super–Natural satin finish that eliminates tackiness during rapid position shifts.

The sculpted neck heel provides unobstructed access to the upper register, while the maple fingerboard delivers focused attack and note separation under aggressive playing. ClassicGear Precision potentiometers employ custom torque specifications and musical taper curves for smooth, predictable control over pickup blending and tone shaping. The Aged Cherry Burst nitrocellulose finish allows the alder body to resonate freely, contributing to the open, woody character the Jazz Bass is recognised for. Hardware includes a four–saddle HiMass bridge for improved sustain and intonation stability, paired with Fender lightweight vintage–style tuners that reduce headstock mass.
