The American Professional II Stratocaster HSS draws from over seventy years of Fender's electric guitar development to meet the requirements of session players, gigging musicians and recording artists who need both single-coil sparkle and humbucking punch in one instrument. The HSS pickup configuration pairs two new V-Mod III single-coil pickups with a V-Mod III humbucker that can be split via push-button for calibrated single-coil tones, expanding the tonal palette beyond traditional Stratocaster voicings. A black finish over an alder body and maple fingerboard delivers classic Fender aesthetics.

The Deep C neck profile features smooth rolled fingerboard edges and a Super-Natural satin finish, while a newly sculpted neck heel improves upper-register access. V-Mod III pickups offer increased articulation while retaining warmth and bell-like chime, with the bridge humbucker providing punchy output and coil-split capability. The upgraded two-point tremolo uses a cold-rolled steel block for increased sustain, clarity and high-end response. ClassicGear Precision potentiometers feature custom torque and musical taper, while ClassicGear Radial bent-steel saddles include recessed adjustment screws for player-friendly intonation and action setup.
