Fender Custom Shop 1951 Telecaster NOS (Aged Nocaster Blonde)

The Custom Shop Hand-Wound '51 Nocaster Pickups deliver the raw, articulate twang that defined Fender's first production run of solid-body electrics, complete with a period-correct 3-position switching system that includes a unique blend control when the selector is in the bridge position. This NOS (New Old Stock) Telecaster from the Fender Custom Shop replicates the 1951 spec with a 2-piece ash body featuring an offset seam, finished in nitrocellulose lacquer in Aged Nocaster Blonde. The one-piece quartersawn flame maple neck offers the stability and resonance that made early Broadcasters and Nocasters studio and stage favourites.

The ash body construction provides the bright attack and percussive midrange response characteristic of early '50s Fender instruments, while the nitrocellulose finish allows the wood to resonate freely as it ages. Quartersawn flame maple ensures dimensional stability across the neck's length, with tight grain structure that contributes to quick transient response. The Custom Shop pickups are hand-wound to replicate the slightly hotter output and increased clarity of 1951-era units, delivering 6.3k ohms in the bridge and 5.8k ohms in the neck. Period hardware includes vintage-style tuners and a 3-saddle bridge that maintains the original's intonation characteristics.
