Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition 1957 Telecaster Super Heavy Relic (Black)

The Custom Shop's Super Heavy Relic process puts this Limited Edition 1957 Telecaster® through the most aggressive ageing treatment available, delivering a 2-piece select ash body under Black nitro lacquer that looks like it's survived decades of touring abuse straight from the factory. This Fender Custom Shop reproduction captures the golden era of the '57 Tele® with period-correct construction: quartersawn maple neck shaped to the 1957 soft “V” profile and a matching 1-piece quartersawn maple fingerboard that delivers the snap and sustain early Telecasters are known for.

Hand-wound HW '58 Tele® pickups bring authentic late-'50s output and voicing, wired through Fat 50's configuration for the bright, cutting bridge response and warmer neck character that defined the era. The 55–57 Tele® bridge maintains tuning stability through aggressive playing while preserving vintage-correct aesthetics. A 9.5″ radius fingerboard with 21 narrow tall frets balances period-accurate feel with modern playability, making bends easier than the original 7.25″ radius would allow. Vintage-style tuners carry the Fender® logo and complete the historically accurate hardware package.
