Rooted in Mexican and Latin American traditions, the requinto guitar is a smaller version of the classical guitar, characterized by a shorter scale length and a notably deeper body depth. Ortega's Requinto Series guitars are not only suitable for Trío romántico groups and traditional folk music, they are also great instruments for acoustic performances, where amplification is not possible, as they are much louder than a conventional small–body guitar.
