The Seymour Duncan Slash LLT 2.0 Humbucker Set delivers the hotter wound tone Slash demanded after years of touring with Guns N' Roses and Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. These hand–built passive humbuckers are based on his signature APH–2 design, rewound to push amplifiers harder while maintaining the clarity and tonal character that defined classic records. This Raw Nickel variant features modern short ear mounting legs and four–conductor wiring for expanded tonal options beyond the traditional vintage–spec single–conductor configuration.
Each pickup is wound by hand in Santa Barbara using nickel silver bottom plates, maple spacers, paper tape, and wax potting–the same methods used in the original 1980s builds. The neck humbucker measures 8.8k DC resistance, while the bridge sits at 9.38k, both loaded with Alnico 2 rough cast magnets. Four–conductor cable enables coil splitting, series/parallel wiring, and phase switching capabilities. Short ear mounting legs accommodate direct mounting in a wider range of guitar body routes compared to traditional long–leg designs.
Made to order in the USA, the LLT designation indicates a longer lead time of approximately three to four weeks added to standard processing. The hotter wind provides increased volume, drive, and compression compared to the original APH–2 set while retaining the same fundamental tonality Slash relies on for everything from rhythm crunch to singing lead work. Raw nickel covers complement both vintage and modern guitar aesthetics without requiring additional plating or finish work.
