The Seymour Duncan Slash LLT 2.0 Neck Humbucker delivers the hotter wind Slash requested after years of touring with Guns N' Roses and Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. This passive neck position pickup measures 8.8k DCR and uses an Alnico 2 Rough Cast magnet to provide the same tonal clarity and character as the original APH-2 signature set, now with increased output to push amplifiers harder. Hand-built in Santa Barbara using traditional methods from the 1980s, it maintains the player's preferred voicing while adding the drive and compression needed for high-volume live performance.
This modern-spec version features short ear mounting legs for compatibility with a broader range of guitar routes and direct mounting applications, plus four-conductor wiring that enables coil-splitting, series/parallel switching, and phase reversal options. Construction includes a nickel silver bottom plate, maple spacer, paper tape, and full wax potting to eliminate microphonic feedback. The LLT designation indicates made-to-order production with approximately three to four weeks added to standard delivery time. Each unit is assembled in the USA using the same hand-winding techniques Seymour Duncan employed on the original signature models.
